Great idea, looks sweet and is obviously cost effective. Any prep, brand of paint? etc.
From the pic looks like a spray gloss finish, temp resistant too?

Replacing 496 Ho Ignition Wires

Replacement spark plug wires are shockingly expensive from Mercury. Does anyone have recommendations/success with another brand?

I tend to agree with you about the hull and B3x. Fine to 60 maybe a bit more, questionable to push it much past and w/o hydraulic steering for better control.

From somewhere ( Powerboat?) I read a B3x ( on my boat ) is good to about 65 MPH and can take somewhere...

Cool CMI on 496 HO with Captain's Call

Thinking about having CMI's installed on a 496 HO with Captain's Call in a 220 with B3x.
Anyone have experience with a similar set-up?
Concerned about fit, props, etc.
Thoughts?

I run a 220 with 496 HO B3 x on Lake Joseph in Ontario. Gets up on a plane incredibly fast and when the Capt's call is opened, away from shore, sounds great
