Does anyone know if the upper drive shaft is physically different between an X and XR they are different part # or just heat treated different. have drive apart wanted a stronger shaft. THANKS

Gear ratio change bravo x

looking to change gear ratio from 1.5 to 1.36 is their any reason you cant change it in the upper. my upper gears need replaced anyway but lower is fine.

its a crusader mefi 4 i believe. It has no distributor individual coils 8.1 has same old style engine plug as merc can't get a signal when testing grey wire at engine plug. tack just stopped one...

the bellows seals the driveshaft. no gasket on bravo drives only 2 round o rings and one formed o ring Alpha drives use a gasket.

I have bravo 1. 1:5. Upper gears are 32/27 I believe. Found a bravo 2 1.81. Are the gears in the upper the same?
