any way to keep cracks in canopies from spreading?

I've got a 36 with the cut down canopies and both of them have started cracking where they have been drilled for fastening to the boat. I couldn't see the cracks until I stripped the border paint...

Does anyone know if you can just drill and tap into the "collector" area of the KE aluminum headers to install an O2 sensor?

I don't have any length to install them in the tailpipe.

I actually already tried a bmax. It slowed the boat down 7 mph! Biggest reason was at that time they only had a 1.35 ratio. If dean still owns bravo shop I wouldn't buy a trolling moter from him....
