Anybody having problems with water pickup

I have a PQ 260 and the water pickup is down so low that when I beach it it fills cooling system with sand and gets plugged.Looking for any answer to fix this problem.

My drive has the lower water pick-up and anytime I get in shallow water to beach the cooling system gets pluged up with sand.Anybody else have this problem or know a fix.

1990 checkmate 253 gtx

Wondering if this boat was made in 1990.or is it a 251.Im told it is a 253.But I did not think they started making it until mid 90s.

The props that worked the best was 27p Mirage it did not come out of the water that good but cruising speeds was 5mph over 24p 4 blades also tried 25p 3 blades no big difference there.

The panther did not sell so I guess Im going to add some power and swim platform and some k-planes.What would you guys suggest I want to keep it dependable but want the sound of big cams and a good...

Know I dont know the difference.I think the s-type is older but I do not know for sure.

Mine did have the same stickers on it I peeled them off but no I do not have them posts.I was out over the weekend and the coupler went out on 1 motor so Im pulling 1 motor this week,come to find out...

I just bought 1989 scarab panther does anybody know any things about these boats are they kevlar.mine is in good shape with twin 454(330) genV1 motors and seems to run about 68 on gps.
