I think the "puck n bananas" sticker was making me go slower because im at 74 on gps since I took it off. Also for the record my old heavy slow boat only has a 225HO Etec.

instead of closing the motor well try bobs machine shop 12 inch hydraulic lift plus 2 inch set back or cmc 10 inch plus 2inch spacer if you close the motor you limit your options after it is rigged...

look at 24 banana boat it is 8 foot wide as opposed to a super boat pantera etc the banana if rigged right will compete with these boats in calm water but out run them inrough water if you want to go...

i have the fifth o/b made by sutphen in 1979 a 6'' manual jack plate is the way to go this way you can adjust engine height idont think you will need tabs how ever sutphens are bow heavy you will...

i am not good with computers just bought 24 banana from charlie planning on putting 225 ho etech 20 incc shaft i was thinking of a 9 inch set back from cmc in reverse which would lower the transom...
