We were actually in Illinois by a couple hundred feet so it is being handled by Illinois DNR..Ive searched and cant find accident reports in IL on line.

The EFI on that engine isnt much good for much more than stock. Converting to a carb with a good intake will almost be necessary if you start messing with it. Since your changing the intake, why not...

I have an 88 IMP 26' eleganza. The stock 454 had a 21 mirage prop, looks like a 15" diameter. I now have a blown 468 in it.

I found a 25 pitch quicksilver, but the guy thinks its a 14" diameter....

some people say you can run the stock valve covers but I wasnt even close. I bought a set of hardin marine tall covers that are clearanced for the exhaust. They are very nice and sure save you alot...
