WOW!

First off, it is a good to hear things are able to heal.
Wish them the best in recovery from this

I was curious on the accident, where they in the boat or water? I truly can forsee they were in the back of the boat and the ski landed in it Hate to imagine such a thing, but the jetskis get way to close to the back of boats!

But anyway, I google "St. Charles boat accident" and it pulled up more LAWYER links then anything else! Maybe just another sign that one should be contacted! Just my thoughts

Wishing the best

Thanks everyone, I am truly amazed at the outpouring of support. Anyone who says that boaters are not the best people in the world is wrong! Like PlowTownMissle said, we were beached on a popular island with a boat and 2 waverunners next to us. The waverunners kept flying in, at one point beaching them 20' up on the sand. These were pretty new Yamaha's too, I was surprised to see them treated that way.
At one point, one of them came in way to fast heading towards his boat, swerved to miss his boat and aimed it straight at my boat where I was standing behind it and my wife and daughter were on the swim platform.
He hit the port side of the swim platform, going on top of it, hitting my wife, continues across hitting my 16 yr old daughter before going back into the water.
My wife and daughter are seriously injured and I get help to get her in the boat so I can take her to the mainland with ambulance access.
I get a pic of the guys drivers license, reg numbers and phone number, as he is all apologetic, I call water patrol and report the accident and tell the guys I will be back as soon as the ambulance gets them, to make the report. I make it back in about 30 minutes and they have left the scene.
Now the guy has my phone number blocked in his phone and wont respond to the water patrol.
Water patrol has a ton of info on him though and doesnt seem the least bit worried they will find him and they have a coupl of serious charges for him.
Also, the wave runners were borrowed, the owner wasnt even on site and I dont know if the owner even knows what happened.
My wife spent 5 days in the hospital with multiple fractures in the pelvis and pubic bone and tailbone. She can only walk with a walker right now but is beginning to feel better. Fortunately my daughter only has some bad bruising and is good and sore but was treated and released.
I appreciate everyones support!!

Hey Flyin. RiverBills.com is where I got the original info on the accident. I'm probably the furthest north regular contributer to the site. We just wanted Sherri to know that her extended boating family up here on the upper Illinois was thinkin' of her and wishing her a speedy and complete recovery. Sure hope everything works out for you folks. Keep us posted.
