My did not crack and i did not have tool to pull the part i just use wise grip to take the cap off not much in there
piston and rod and two seals

I fix my leaking cylinder very easy
u need 1 actuator piston seal 20X32X6 and one O ring 20X6
it cost me $12AU

i hope this will help you it is on smole trim tabs i got 6m boat
