Interesting thread since I just had a newly built 454 lock up on me...it would run good oil pressure until a hard run and when throttled down it would drop very low. Am curious about the comment on...

Unfortunately at less than 25 hours the motor blew...don't know what gave up...tech pulling the engine to assess the damage. Likely will need new bottom end/block, will see. Engine was no problem...

Interesting...I have run several different props on my '88 454 BBC 500 HP 22C and so far a Mirage Plus 25 is the best...no porpoising, minimal cavitation on acceleration, totally stable at 70 - 75...

OK, got the engine last Friday....great job packaging for shipment....looks great....if it runs as good as it looks I will be a very happy guy....techs are transferring some parts from my old engine...
