My '88 Scarab was originally equipped with a 454 MAG, Bravo1.
The original Engine wiped the cam at 450 hrs and was replaced with a 330 HP with small port heads.

I am thinking of getting a Dana Marine exhaust for my 1988 Scarab.
The engine is a 330HP 7.4L replacement unit.
Otherwise the boat is stock bravo 1, silent choice and mercathode...

In the meantime I have decided to put in a 330 HP 7.4L Longblock in. I'm in Switzerland and that was the only Mk iV Engine readily available to save the season....

Tech says exhaust lifters on cyls. 5 & 7 are sticking (almost no valve movement on cyl. 7, less than normal on cyl. 5).
