Sounds like you have been there. It's that last 70 degree right turn looking at the checkerboard at 2000 feet one mile from the runway with winds gusting up to 50 knots or so that always got my heart...

It was my wife's birthday today and I told her we would go have lunch someplace on the water..........so we took the Pantera out with sandwiches onboard, went about 5 miles offshore, shut the engine...
