Yes mt , i was amazed I sprayed all the bolts a couple hours ahead of time while I got sockets wrenches etc. Not sure what they are coated with, but the threads were clean on the strap bolts. ...

After a lengthy Google search it seems you must pinch tabs while pushing down and twist to release the pump.you would think they might mention this somewhere.

Well I just checked again, are the 3 rubber feet...

Well I just checked again, are the 3 rubber feet glued in ? Thats the only thing that appears to be holding it in. I really don't want to break the tank.

Everything is disconnected, the pump will not budge, and I can't see why. Feels like maybe a metal ring inside, but my wrist only bends so much. The new pump seems to have a couple pinch clamps...

Okay, so2 bolts 3 screws, 3 hoseclamps later the tank is down but the pump will not come out , I see on the new one a couple clips whichseem to need squeezed, but nuttn, wtf?

Well my pump came in so I checked out the tank...

Well my pump came in so I checked out the tank again, pump is under extra cab so ill be dropping it, or just lowering it I hope .lol

So I need to replace the pump in my 2000 super duty, the book says to drop the tank, but I've heard it's easier to raise the bed for access. Any one done either, and recommendations.
6.8 gas btw.
