Re: 28SS's

Big Andy,
My boat is not done yet. I was hoping to get it done by the 4th of July but I work too much and don't have a lot of time to do stuff. And I decided to re-wire the whole boat too, that...

Re: 28SS's

The impellers are a pain. You have to remove the whole assembly and "look" with your hands. Air tools help. Removing the engines was very easy. I brought it to the local boat shop and told them...

Re: 28SS's

Heres some pictures of my new hatch(s) I was just fitting one up before fiberglass and figured I'd show you guys what it looks like. They are "race hatches" so they will open to each side. Also...

Re: 28SS's

I read on another thread that the small block boats ride better than the big block boats. What kind of speeds are you seeing with the big blocks? Do you have any details on the injected small...

Re: 28SS's

I have that same space between the back seat and the hatch. I almost cut it out and extended the hatch but I didn't want to hack it up. If I had more time I'd build you one but I barely have time...

Re: 28SS's

I'm building it. I'm a master at carpentry and fiberglass work. I'll post some pics soon. It's a little like the a Tiger hatch mixed with a Scarab 38KV

Re: 28SS's

In post 26 you can see why I'm building a new hatch. The sides weren't even fiberglassed, it was just upholstered wood. It must be good wood though. over 20 years and no rot.

Heres one of it running. If I was more computer literate I'd post the video. It sounds good with dry pipes!

Re: 28SS's

Bouyhunter,
I towed my boat about 500 miles when I picked it up with a '95 k1500 Chevy and it did just fine. The truck also had like 175000 miles on it at the time. The ramp is only like a mile...
