I used a 2" hole saw and drilled holes on that...

I used a 2" hole saw and drilled holes on that stringer right next to the trim pump and on each side of all 4 stringers to allow everything to drain down to the bildge pumps.

Here is mine. My winch could be lower by 4 or 5 inches.

You are correct, there are no holes in the stringers, which is weird because the stringers are actually hallow. Once the motors were removed I used a hole saw and add drain holes.
