If I recall it correctly it is sitting inside the distributor, screwd to the bottom plate. Pull the cap, disconnect all the connectors and remove it. You may have to unscrew the ignition module...

Check (wiggle) the connectors around the distibutor and coil. Check cap and rotor, check for 12V to distributor when ignition is on.

Have you conformed no spark with a timing light?
