Based on the greyish layer of crud on the bottom...

Based on the greyish layer of crud on the bottom of the oil resovoir, I think the intake for the oil was plugged and didn't feed any oil to the drive.

Not sure who cleans that resovoir, I looked...

How hard or easy will it be to turn that shaft IF the drive is o.k.? And when you take the top cap off, should that be full of oil?

I checking the lower unit oil at the plugs to see...

I checking the lower unit oil at the plugs to see what comes out. The resovoir was full, but the upper drain plug nothing cam out. Lower was nice w blue, but fine metal in in...took the upper cap off...

If the drive is seized, would the prop still...

If the drive is seized, would the prop still spin? The prop spins fine, and when put in gear, it engages. The boat is on lift in boathouse in above the water. Removing the drive will be difficult.
