You'll be good to go but consider using the 142 that comes with kit. You'll have best luck with anything btwn 140-143. I know what your thinking but you'll struggle to get to temps to 160 resulting...

Just do a search on threads and post regarding plumbing x overs etc. while they undoubtedly clean up under the hatch and have a little bling they can also even be a hassle for big power engines...

Good idea to also run oil stats as you mentioned. In many circumstances getting oil up to temp can be a challenge depending on your boating characteristics.

I see no reversion issues with your cam choice which by the way looks like a pretty good choice for your application. Similar to the zz502 proven cam yet having a 112 lsa.

Even if you went with the old 502/465 hp cams. There a proven cam while easy on the valvetrain as well. I think they were around 553/571 - 236/246. Those were hyd flat tappet but sure would run well...
