Depends on spring rate as to what you would gain. .560 is Max lift but how close you are to coil bind ?

I'm just a backyard guy, but I would want stronger springs, something like Comps 930.

It would be best to use the springs that are recommended with the 284. Those extra 20pds pressure will likely wipe the bumps off your stick. Ha.. Then it's boom chucka boom time only. Valve-train components are not rocket science yet very critical. Be certain you get it right the first time though and call comp again so your 100% certain with spring pressures, stability etc.

Also make sure and ck for proper pushrod length on both intake and exhaust.

I will call again to verify. Next thing I need to know. Oil bypasses. Currently using truck engine converted marine. I have the 40lb bypasses sitting on the shelf I need to know how to configure them. The blocks have oil cooler fittings on the side I have remote filter relocates from summit for where factory filter was. Also we are running a crossover so worried that oil temp will not get hot enough. Should I be running a oil thermostat and pressure relief on the water side. Stock 300hp oil coolersI

According to my comp catalog, the spring that comes with that cam is the 924 spring. That spring is rated at 112 @ 1.900. And 355 @ 1.200 . Not sure how you are getting 345 open, since with .547 lift, you'll be 1.350, which would be more like 300lbs open. Coil bind is at 1.175. At full lift, you will be .178 from coil bind. If you were to install them at 1.850, you would have more like 130 on the seat, and 320 open, and be .128 from coil bind. Which is still a bit light and what not, but since it's a low rpm deal, would work fine. Just my opinion. And all that needs to be checked during assembly.
