Re: holy crapola...my exhaust won't fit ???

Thats something I noticed with my old 454 mags. They were pretty close together. When I built new motors, I specifically went with standard deck height blocks (9.8). I thought the aftermarket...

Re: Water Pressure, A diffrent question....

Re: Water Pressure, A diffrent question....

They have to be installed after the discharge of the raw water pump, preferrably after the oil cooler. The suction side of the raw water pump uses the heavy wall hose to prevent it from sucking in. ...

I have a 10K trailer. Looking at the pictures of your boat from previous posts, mine is identical to yours.

Re: Does anyone here live in Prince William County, VA?

One of the benefits of being in PWC. We moved from Loudoun Co., where you have to pay PPT on a boat.

SML boat ramps

Does anybody know of any boat ramps that aren't too steep at SML? I have used the one at the state park and the public ramp at Hales Ford bridge on the Bedford Co. side. My boat sits low in the...

Re: 2001 7.3 PSD F250 with 93K miles.

I'm not sure about the newer ones, but I have a 1996 F350 4x4 that I bought new. 7.3 PSD and a 5 speed manual transmission. I have had to only put in 1 set of glow plugs and 2 glow plug solenoids. ...

Re: Help, New Engine Has Vibration

Seems to me that the pistons are installed backwards. The big valve relief is for the intake valve. If you have a cylinder head off and put the piston up to the head, you will see what I mean. A...

Re: TCM Merlin 509 Issues

I got a World block that was unfinished. I couldn't find anyone locally who would finish the cam and mains. Went up to World to have them finish it. It looked good. Put the motor in the boat,...

Re: TCM Merlin 509 Issues

I had virtually the same thing with 2 crank kits I bought from Summit Racing. I bought the World crank kits and they were advertised as having a Scat crank, Manley rods, and JE pistons. I received...

Re: Too much boring? Bad heads? Overheating....

The Cleveland block is a stouter block but not in cylinder wall thickness. Windsor cylinder wall thickness is thicker. That along with the oiling system on a Cleveland is the reason they went away...

Re: Too much boring? Bad heads? Overheating....

Should be ok with the block, if it was a Cleveland block, it would be a different story. Had a 13:1 Cleveland motor in a race car that was .040 over, couldn't get the rings to seat correctly due to...

Re: I am stroked, 6.135 or 6.385 ROD ???

I use a 6.385 rod in my 540's. I ended up buying a kit from World Products, part #108150. It uses a "H" beam rod, haven't had any problems yet. The pistons are Mahle Motorsports pistons that are...
