I made a phone call today. The date isn't set yet. The guy paying to use Rio Roses for R&D to try his monster turbo motors hasn't delivered them yet. They are supposed to show up soon so they can't set a date untill they show up. I will get a call when they are going to run and I will post it. This run is more to put him on the map than it has to do with Fountain he is paying the bills.

The Rio Roses boat that holds the record was an old hull. I have no idea if Reggie took some ideas from Skater or not, but that hull was totally done by Fountain. If you look at 10 different offshore boats, I'm sure that you will see ideas copied from each to the other.

Now you have the ONLY part of its thats "race" correct.

The Skater Fountain combo that everyone talks about is the year Reggie raced a cat and they built a boat and he dominated. It never had to do with v hulls.

I believe that Skater did do a layup of a Fountain "V" hull.

Skater did lay up I believe 2 or 3 Fountain V Hulls back in the 90's. One of them was the Dramamine boat

as for the skater built cat that reggie raced . he changed the botton from how peter built it there was no skater bottom on it it was fountain

I heard Ken Warby's record is in trouble, that's what they said when I called Fountain.
