I'M Sure Tyson will do everything he can do get it working..if not it'll be the first thing he cant fix.. very comforting having someone so skilled onboard..

No GPS spot-tracker linked up? Was neat to follow when BTB ran to Cancun.

Just landed a little while ago. They were off to a great start. Just outside Sandy Hook in the ocean they began hit hit larger swells then I think they were expecting . I know for sure I have a shot down the bow where I can see both props. 680 gallons of fuel is a lot of weight so I was shocked they got so much air time. Something at some point forced them to stop to make repairs. We waited about 10 min but then decided it was time to go back to the airport. Looks like they got back up and running as they appear to be much further south from where we left them. When I hear anything I will post it. I will be on the road for several hours before I get back to the office. Wish them the best !

Tyson just called from the sat-phone. He said they are doing well.
Tristan |
looks like cameara is trying to work. 20 hours of that is not fun..the newness wears off after a few hours.
|
trust me its not fun trying to" hang it over the edge" at 50 mph in rough water.. and the wind blowing tends to make a mess...THE LAST THING THEY WANNA DO IS STOP FOR ANY REASON.
|
Wave prediction was 1 to 2 ft for early part of the run and worst case 3ft toward the later part . The swells early on made it rough for them. 20 hours of that ? Yikes !
|
prediction was wrong. Nick
|
Lets see some of that fancy photograph work Tim..
Thanks Nick |
