Adrian Papke brother of Rolf Papke owner of Proroc Marine, Brick, NJ and also the first driver for me when I started Offshore racing in 1987 has passed away. Way too soon. God Bless Him and his family.

ADRIAN PAPKE, 45, of BRICK, died Sunday, June 15, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was a fabricator for Atlantic Boat Lifts, Point Pleasant. He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association and National Power Boat Association. He was an avid bowler and a softball player. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Colonia, Woodbridge, before moving to Brick 14 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Johansen Papke; his parents, Viktor and Irma Papke of Toms River; a son, Jason Brooke, at home; a brother and sister-in-law, Rolf and Francine Papke of Brick; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Geraldine and Frank "Huck" Johansen of Clark; a sister-in-law, Theresa, and her husband, Carmine De Carlo, of Brick; two nieces, Tara Papke and Jacquelin DeCarlo; two nephews, Brent Papke and CJ DeCarlo; and his five best friends, Frank and Kathy Graham of Toms River, and Brian "Little Mook" Attardi of Point Pleasant; and his neighbors, Scott and Teresa.
The viewing will be form 2 to 4 p.m and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road, Brick, with a service at 8 p.m. Cremation will be private.
