I would be quite in favor of seeing both groups get together for a joint annual event. I'm thinking New Years Day might not be an ideal time for it tho as the weather is always uncertain in the winter and there is some open Gulf running required. Maybe best in March or October. March can be iffy and April is a great month but many have gone back north. Couple of possibilities might be to meet in Venice or Gasparilla. Ideally it would be a location that has overnite accommodations and many would come in the day before I'm sure. Another idea might be to alternate between Sarasota and Cape Coral each year where there are great accommodations and we could take turns hosting each others group. . Could be a lot of fun.
