Man is injured as tent blows over
A man working at the powerboat racing show on Shoreline Boulevard was taken to a local hospital Thursday afternoon, after an accident while setting up a tent, according to Corpus Christi police.
The man was setting up a tent at about 4:33 p.m. when a strong wind knocked the tent over, causing the man to be catapulted about 50 feet, officials said. He was taken to Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline with what officials describe as serious injuries.
Information on the man's condition was not available late Thursday.

Pete,
Ben called me with the news on Friday and Rian and I have definitely been praying for Justin. He has always been one of my favorite people to get together with at the races and we wish him the best at this point. If you have any more news, please let me know.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for Justin in his time of need. Justin is still in a coma, he has trauma to the head, a broken pelvis and collapsed lungs. They have him on life support at the Corpus Christi Memorial Hospital in the trauma unit. He is able to move his toes and squeeze his fingers when we talk to him. Please keep Justin and the Hurttgam family in your prayers during this difficult time.

It was an awesome thing to see everybody in the pitts with the entire Reliable family on their minds! You couldn't walk by without someone offering help or a prayer for Justin. It makes me proud to be part of the OSS family. All of our thoughts and prayers are behind the entire Reliable family!
