Maps- Ft Myers/Naples/Marco Island

Here's a satellite view of some of the area. Not complete yet, and sorry bout the cheesy colors- updates coming (Centennial Park ramp near downtown is good, but a long idle to the beach).
If you are trailering in from the east coast, the ramps at wiggins pass and lovers key are good. no overnight pkg at wp. expect typical beach traffic when you go north from this area through ft myers beach.
coming south on I-75,
ccyc is roomy- colonial blvd is a six lane rd w a flyover at 41/tamiami trail so it's painless. toll booth at bridge. use this exit and take mcgregor if you are going to punta rassa.
avoid the daniels exit. there is major construction all around summerlin/gladiolus and traffic can gridlock in any direction at any moment.
shyc/punta rassa has barricades and construction at the toll booth plaza to the causeway- as you exit onto punta rassa rd is a little bit narrow but navigable.
salty sam's is a left turn from san carlos blvd just before you go up the fmb bridge(Main st). trailer storage nearby. traffic over the bridge can be heavy in both directions, especially on weekends during the day.

Great thread Jay. Should be helpful for those coming in from out of town for events like our Fun Run on April 22nd and Poker Runs America PR on May 5/6th.

Thanks for pinpointing those spots, Craig. Any info on that public ramp at Caxambas?
Here are some updated google shots. Our area is so large that a complete satellite picture isnt much good without some breakout detail. I'm working on a way to show the various parts in an 'unconfusing' way.

Jay,
I don't know anything about the public ramp at Caxambas - the locals (Bob, Nate, Mike, John) would know better than I about the conditions...
I think we actually have more active boaters in the Naples / Marco area vs. the Ft. Myers area. Maybe we should re-name the group NMO!

Going to bring this thread back to the top. This info will be helpful for anyone trailering into the area looking for a launch ramp etc.

Thanks Guys, I was looking for something like this. I have used Wiggins before with the waverunner, it is right down the street from my place in Bonita. I would like to make some of your events this summer. Does anyone know of a place where I can park the boat and trailer safely overnight occasionally when I come over, as my association wont let me keep it in the driveway(24 pantera).
thanks,
Rick

My trailer is almost 50 ft and the only facility I could find to store that size of unit was Saf-T-Storage in Fort Myers Beach.
