Got a call last evening that Jay has joined the Active Thunder team. Frank Marchone has also joined up with Pat, to put together a really experienced group of professionals that could and I'm sure have a real impact.

I guess the cat is out of the bag.

Not at all. Jay Ross is the former owner/founder of Sonic USA from way back in the day.

Glad you guys are off that mold. Better deal all the way around, similiar interests in two somewhat similiar boats. I Look forward to the larger additions added to the AT family. Jeff

AT was NEVER folded into Chief.

Chief and AT did not merge companies. At one time, you could have gotten an AT hull built by AT/Pat with Bobby Saccenti influence and the Chief name on the side under a marketing agreement, but that was it. It was a limited time engagement, and that time has passed. You could have called it a joint marketing venture or marketing merger; but the companies were always separate.

Chief is concentrating on their 42 & 47 hulls and is still in business.

Active Thunder is business as usual, (actually a few new things are up and coming with AT too; namely new personnel and a radical new wood, aluminum, and Corian cabin on the new 33AVH).

I think this is great and I hope every thing works out. I have the greatest respect for both Pat and Jay. They should make a great team as long as Jay does't talk Pat into using cheap hardware. Joe Murray
