Default CAUTION OSOers! I got screwed bad!

Fellow OSOer's...
Without too much detail...
I had a pair of props listed in the clasifieds.
Through the chain of events that resulted in the "sale" ... I'm out $3200!
Yes $3200 gone, history.

The initial inquiry came from overseas, and one thing led to another and he passed a bad cashiers check... My bank OK'd it, then sent it back and pulled the money back out of my account... $3200 cash was lost in the transaction.

The inquiry came from a guy in "the UK". He knew props, as if he was for real. He gave his name as Harry Kewell.
Please stay away from him....

I'm going back and forth with the bank to try to get all, or some of the lost money back. (Bank told me the check was fine, so I assumed it was.)

Props are now sold to a good upstanding member tba, from Switzerland.

No new truck for me....

The moral of the story... Be careful, very careful. I was extremely busy with work at the time and just hustled through this deal. And it bit me in the ass.

No, I managed to keep the props through the deal. The "buyer" had no intention of ever taking the props...

I did recently sell the props to OSO member TBA. He paid cash, and was a man of his word.

But the other a- hole still has my $3200..

Tim,
Help me understand how you lost any money if you still had the props. That's a heck of a bank fee for a bad check!!!! Maybe I'm missing something?

I had a cashiers check that the bank said it was good for 8k and same thing happened, make a long story short the bank made good on it because it was initialed and OKed by the head teller......stay on the bank, the only way the other guy can stop payment on those checks is if he puts up another $3,200.00 and there has to be a reason? find out why?

i dont understand, you sold the guy some props and he sent you a cashiers check for $3200. you deposited the check and then it was taken back out of your account. then you sold the props for cash. how are you out anything but your time.
+3200-3200=0+3200=3200
