I thought I would ask first why alot of people are taking off the stock corsa muffler tips before I make a bad choice and put them on my boat. I'm looking for something to quiet the boat down a little but still want to here it!!!. Did the corsa muffs make your boat to quiet or what. Running twin 454 mags. Thanks JIM.

Jim-
I've got muffler tips on mine--I think they are Corsa.
Mine mellowed out the sound and made it "pleasanter" to hear. It's still there but not like a Waste Management truck so to speak.

True what Poorsche said.
I've got mine on a 502 and they take the edge off for sure. Still sounds plenty loud though as I can hear it on a good day still a mile away.
If you have switchable option it eliminates a possible back pressure issue that so many people seem to get rid of them for .

I was told that with only running 454 mags that I should not have a back pressure problem. My exh. has no Y pipe, so I exh. through hull only. Not sure it would be worth the money to convert it to have a Y pipe.
