well i finally got back in the water, untill this afternoon. my brand new hi torque starter crapped out on me in hamburg cove
talk about being embarassed,i got towed out by my buddies fountain back to essex and even managed to get passed by a sailboat!! i think i'm going to have to repaint this boat again
ran pretty good for first trip out, 26 lab bravo prop too small now, running up to the limiter, saw a best of 74mph ,scary though, chine walking after 70,couldnt use my tabs because i need a new piston on the port side, coming on plane,it sounds like i'm getting prop blow out after 2500 rpm, slips to 3300 instantly, any of you guys experience this? under heavy throttle with minimal trim i throw a huge roost behind me,i'm starting to wonder if the x is too hi now? prop shaft is 4 1/2 below the hull which is similar to suberboat and pantera, although my boat has a small pad on the rear not a straight v all the way back. i think ive got the makings of a fast boat, just not quite set up right yet,PAT your the man!!

It's great to hear you're back on the water brother.
I saw you were on-line and sent you an e-mail last night.
It does sound like you may have gone a little high with the drive. My boat has the prop shaft about 5" below with no pad. Dave M. has measured about 6-1/2" on the step/pad Super.
Before adding a spacer you may want to try one of those new 5 blades. T-Mone tested and loved the Hyrdo 5blade on his Pantera. Sounds like you need a prop anyway...
Good Luck! I hope you come play this weekend...
