Wanted: enclosed trailer
#1
I'm looking for an enclosed trailer.... anybody have any connections out there?
I started out just looking for a small cargo trailer... but I can't see paying $3K on a small 7X10, when I can get a 8.5X20 car hauler for a little over 5K.
I'm looking for a nice used or new.
Thanks

I have a Haulmark "5 x 8" (actually bigger, but you can put a 5X8 item in it.) It's actually something like 6 by 9. Single axle.
It's a good size. Easy to use and work with.
Wouldn't want a huge trailer.
Paid 1500 used.
Nothing worse than dragging around more trailer than you really need, regardless of price.

I'd buy a small one if could find a good used less then 2K.
But after getting sticker shock
I like the option of being able to haul a Hotrod around at some point (of which I have a couple), plus a know a lot of Hotrodders and could potentially hire it out.
Right now I need a fast mobile garage... I'm moving out of my house and relocating to another house with no garage or storage, and no land to build one.

I looked at it as if I were to build a nice shed or garage....that would have cost me some dough so this way, I have a nice trailer plus it is portable. If you spend a little more, your resale is better as most guys looking to haul classic cars are looking for a nice used car trailer.

I don't recall who.... But I know there is an OSO or SW member that owns a trailer dealer in NJ.
I'd post this in the General and see if you find him.....
Or maybe do a search for enclosed trailer.... We've had those "What do you do?" threads..
I had a 7x16 US Cargo.. Decent trailer, held up well. Then I had a 8.5x24 Haulmark Econo... Decent for the $$ but I'd do better if I was doing it again..
You know Home Depo sells basic enclosed trailers!!!!

I got a buddy who is talking about selling his 48' enclosed, I think it was buit by National, but has been redone down to the frame. It has an Onan Gold genset I think it's a 30k, AC, power rear door, power front jacks, 3 torsion axles and its a 5th wheel. Also has a rack designed to hold 2 quads that you can ride on the lift to the cieling and not use any floor space, it's an awsome unit that was done right. All red oak interior with built in tool boxes and benches and a small sleeping bunk int the front with a TV and all that. No head though. I know it's a little big but let me know if you are intersted.

Thanks hillbilly, but that's a lot more than I need right now.
I looked at the local builder's trailers over the weekend... nice, checkerboard floor, finished walls and ceiling, all aluminum... $10K
!!
I've been to Home Depot and Lowes... $2.5-3K 6X10.
