I run the Merc Hi-Perf gear lube in my 525SC blower. The same stuff that goes in the drive. Change it every 30-50hrs.

You have to suck it out with a small vacuum hose or similar. I have a large syringe with a tube on the end and that gets it out pretty well. It does not hold very much, maybe 3-4oz on each side. The lube in the front and back of the case is totally separate and both need to be changed. The front has a dipstick. The rear has a fill hole.

I'm using Royal Purple 75W90 Max-Gear in my Weiand/Merc 256 on my 575 with good luck. I think the Merc oil is OK too. The biggest thing to remember is to check it regulary and change it every 50 hours. An easy way to remember it is just change it every time you change outdrive oil.
The gear oil in the supercharger can get diluted with gasoline, which is hard on seals, bearings and shafts.
Regards,
Steve
