Check it out, theres a Stinger on Ebay w/ the original arch....looks pretty nice. One question though is the seating arangement stock? I'm confused....

interesting. . . i havent ever seen a seating araingment like that before. what year is it?

If we are betting... my money is on "that seat is scabbed in."

i dont know Jon. look at the coaming panels. if they did scab it in they went to a great length to cary the original theme. those arrow panels sure look like in house CC to me and they are much bigger than the ones on our boats. they would have had to have been made after the fact. funny thing about the scorpions and stingers. i have never seen two dash layouts the same.

It's a tough call. I will agree with Dave in the fact few CC Stingers are ever the same. I don't much care for the one large seat myself. I'll be sticking with 2.

Dave makes a good point.... but I know how well my bolsters are installed... and how bad that one seat is installed.

It just looks like a retro. Despite the good looking arrows.

To me... the seat looks like it went in crooked. Plus... it has nothing in common with our seats.

Despite all the differences in all the CCs (even between Dave's and mine) the seats are the same.

You guys could be right. But I just have a hunch.

actually i looked at the front view in the ebay auction and it looks like one of those seats from the west marine catalog. hmmm . . . you may be right Jon . . . i guess it'll always be a mystery . . . . not sure why anybody would want to get rid of the stock seats. i always thought they were the best part.

All stingers I Have seen up until 1985 had a single bench seat the only exception was the second Miami vice 390 ," The one in the pilot was white with a single stand up bench seat" the show was shot in 84 I think CC gave the producers a boat with separate bolster layout to promote the new style interior that came out in 85...

The seat DOES look crooked, it is however the only other Stinger I have seen with the same dash lay-out as mine..
