Default Cracks around fairing

Hello guys,
I wondered if someone knows anything about mid 90's 28 panteras. Were they prone to having stress cracks around the fairing? (I assume a two piece system?) If so is this a problem? Just trying to learn about things to keep an eye out for. Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom

Not my boat, but I am looking at it. I may post a pic if I can figure it out.

tomcei, I have a 1999 28 Pantera that has a few stress cracks along the fairing, they are minor and only in the gell coat and have no structural effect on the boat at all. My 28 is also for sale if interested.

My '96 28 also has some cracking around the fairing. It had it when I bought it and has not gotten any worse. It looks to be a cosmetic issue only.

My new 2003 boat cracked the first year around the fairing. Cosmetic from what I could tell. Cattitude can tell you if it ever got worse.

Yup, 1994 28, starboard side. I'm surprised the '03 has it. Seems I read somewhere that it was taken care of in the '00's by making it a one piece or something.

I think almost anytime you to turn a sharp corner in glass this is likely to occur in the gelcoat- hence smoother lines in the boat are good idea.

All that said, I pounded my Daytona way hard at LOTO/ Grand and never an issue or crack, cosmetic or not.

If you guys got a small minor cosmetic gelcoat crack on the Windshield area on any Pantera boat we will fix it here at the factory at no cost to the customer. We stand behind our product for the last 30 years 100 %. I do not care how old the boat is.

The boats we build are designed and built to go out and be run hard out in big water.

Regards,

JO
