Default What do you know about soda blasting??

Aside from bottom paint removal, it does a lot of surfaces. I'm looking for a new business and interested to hear anything about it. Thanks

works well for boats with painted bottoms that will stay painted but Lott's of work to make it smooth . respray gel , wet sand, compound, then buff. i blasted the running gear on a 116 ft yacht with kamma drives, the unit i was using had a huge portable air compressor and was a work out using also the soda dries out your skin like sunburn

At my old job i used to soda blast cylinders to remove ink and glue.
The cylinders blasted were ceramic coated

It is like sand blasting, but the blasting media is a commercial grade of baking soda. It takes a while, but it won't hurt internal parts because the soda dissolves. We use it on large diesel engines after we got a $30,000 rebuild bill from getting sand in an engine It is good for engines and outdrives, I've never thought of using on a hull. It is not cheap though. The soda is about $60 a bag, plus the equipment.

It works good on Corvettes as well. It will remove the paint without harming the glass.
