Default Supercharging Hp525efi???????

Has anybody had any luck supercharging the 525? I understand from a few people that they wont stay together even with moderate boost (5psi). And if so where are you getting them, I understand Whipple doesn't have any in stock and Procharger does not have one developed yet. I am at 6000' above sea level and I need some help! Thanks

The stories you are hearing may be from the 496 and its cast pistons. The 525EFI is an excellent engine. We have supercharged it's little brother to 800 HP @ 7psi with good luck.We have a similar kit for the 525 that includes a relocated and much bigger closed cooling exchanger and reservoir, a must with this much HP. The main hold up has been the aftermarket's inability to crack the PCM 555 computer. We do have a solution though and it does not involve putting a distributor back in the engine. This setup will be going on the dyno for programming in September. If you call me I'll put your name on the list for the results.

Looks like a nice setup. I would be interested in seeing better pics and hearing about how it works out.

Sounds like another high altitude, hp deprived member
It can be very frusterating to loose the kind of power we high altitude guys lose. I have found ways around it but it's expensive. Where are you located?
Tom, I need some dyno info. My guy is chomping at the bit to add one of your setups to my old motor in his boat if we could see some good results.
It's just never fast enough is it
Later,
Dave
