Default Drive Trim Actuator For Merc. Indicator

I have the single Mercruiser indicator for the Drive and Tabs. The actuator for the drive is a Blue Water Actuator which is an external rod that attaches to the drive ram. The problem is that it reads the opposite of what I need, when the ram extends (drive up) the indicators shows the drive going down. What are others runnig on their 28s with this type of indicator? I was told by Blue Water to change the cable to the top of the indicator, there is no room to do this.

Anyone?

I think the Stainless Marine indicator drive attachment is opposite. Joe Murray

I belive the only thing that you can do is change the face on the indicator display...so the up is down and down is up, This is because the indicator just mimics the rams actions and there is no way for it to show reverse action. the face is avalible from mercury racing either that or you have to change it from bottom entry to top entry, your choice...if you click on the pic below you will see what i mean and can check for the part number that you need

The problem with changing the indicator is that the drive and tabs are on the same indicator. I'll take pictures later today.

Thanks for the input.

Joe -

I appreciate your info, I'm running a single though!!!

Also, the actuator I have doesn't give full indicator throw, it actually doesn't seem to work real well at all.

Now what?
