upgrade from 29 to 36 questions
#1
Im looking at a 36 outlaw, currently have a 29. a few questions.
1. I know the rides better, but is it a significant difference?
2. How much harder to trailer? Im a trailer queen.
3. My 29 has 7.4's, the 36 has 500hp's, is it going to use a ton more gas?
4. Will my F-250 with a v-10 be ok for pulling a 36?
Thanks!
Jason

I have a 29 with 7.4's that I'm trying to sell and a 36 with 496 HO's that I've had about 6 weeks. The fuel consumption is much higher with the bigger, heavier boat but my boat stays at LOTO and the ride is worth the fuel.

2. I agree with above. EASIER
Even the wife looks like a PRO backing our rig. It's easier to manage a longer trailer. We are 58 Feet overall from front of truck to the tail of the outdrive!
3. Depends entirely on how you drive and use the boat. You find your groove and comfort level. Then operate within it.
4. Not Enough Truck in my opinion. We also have an Excursion V-10 and it was not pretty with the 36 behind it, even with air bags. I stepped up to the F350 right away. Better safe then sorry.
Baja36ft is dead nuts on with his speed numbers on the 500's.
The difference is that you will be able to run that speed all the time at inland waterways. I have friends with faster boats on smooth water, buy when it gets rough we get to show them who is boss!

Dam! I was hoping you were talking about my 36! Look at the all whight on in the classifieds. Or look at my help selling 36 outlaw thread.
The ride is incredable compared to a 29.
The gas sucks
Trailering is fine.
