38 zx questions
#1
got a few questions about 38 zx's. i have a chance to pick up a 99 38zx with 525's. it has about 200 hrs or so on it. boat is very nice but needs a little TLC from sitting un-used for the past 2 years, needs a bit of cleaning and a few little things touched up to be 100% perfect. boat is also on a new $12k Eagle trailer. my question is, is there room to turn a few bucks on a boat like this? what would this boat be worth in the current market? my purchase price for this rig on the trailer is right around 100k. thanks guys

thats actually the feeling i am getting, they are not moving at all. i posted this on donzi.net board and was told the 525's hurt the resale.to bad it really is a great boat. seems the 500efi is the choice power and i know they are very close in speed #'s.

I sold two with the 525SC package, and they work real nicely...not that much faster than 500EFI's, but the blower whine and x-tra mid/top end punch is a cool added value. The 525SC was a proven reliable pkg. for many years in a lot of different hulls. Properly maintained, they'll last hundreds of hours. Downside is carburation/fuel consumption/ cold-start drill.
The 38 ZX usually appeals to folks who appreciate the wide beam/large cabin/ammenities.

I am looking for a 22 white Donzi that was for sale last week by a guy named Tom I spoke to him and was interested in the boat but I failed to write down his number--do you happen to know him? It had a Blackhawk Drive. I'm trying to reach him??
