I think it means you cant run typical septic lines under the ground. Here is an article on the test. http://www.extension.umn.edu/distrib...es/DD0583.html

Your option may be an aerobic system with sprinklers, which is what I have. This system depends on the area you have + it uses sprinklers.

I think your only option at that point is to haul in proper mix of dirt and mound it if the lot conditions allow for it. Every county has different rules for this problem. Do you already own the lot?

Jerry,,, In your area ,, it means that the soil conditions are not accepatable for a septic tank ,,, the ground will not absorb the waste water and filter it at rate fast enough to insure that the final water product that comes out of the septic discharge tank will be safe to consume,,, Yep ,, you heard me rite,,, if the system works right and the soil filters the waste water, the discharge should be safe to consume... What the bottem line is ::: Discount the price of the Lot to cover the upcharge of putting in a Mound or Small sewar Plant ,,, The current owner will have a hard time selling it under these conditions!!

I just bought a property with an aerobic septic system. Here you have to have a contract with a "certified inspector" to check it every 4 months, along with adding septic chlorine.

It looks to cost me about $400-$500/year whereas a normal septic doesnt cost anything. (for the most part)

"If it don't perc don't buy"

There are ways to make it work but it always become a marketing challenge when you want to sell, since your system is not run of the mill...

Might be good for you however cause a guy your size can't generate that much waste anyway...
