Dock line keps leaving dark stain on rubrail..

Dock line keps leaving dark stain on rubrail..
Anyone use any type of product on there dock lines so they don't stain the rubrail or scratch the boat? I think I have seen something that wraps around the line...where could I find something like this?

Get some gold braid lines. They won't leave a mark. My purple ones leave a light stain on on my white cleats even after several washings.

I have been using purple lines by www.hotropes.com out of AZ and have never had a stain or any color rub off, been using for about 4 years now. I biggest problem is them walking off when I am not around

You can soak the white ones in bleech or other wash soap, that should help. They colect dirt deep inside and it comes out in the rain, which is also very dirty.
