I need to use/borrow/rent a powered trailer mover that is very compact; similar to:

I am trying to put my boat inside a friend's barn for the winter, but I have to use something like this to manuever it in beside his boat.

I can rent something like this for a day for about $150 bucks, but its still probably going to be too big.

This might be a stretch but what about those things people put under the wheels of cars to move them around? Put one under the tongue. If you are on a level surface a few people could push. Or, use a come-along.

Thought about that too, as the boat has to be pulled into its parking space. Its a 37' AT weighing around 11,500 lbs. as it sits now. Floor is concrete, but its a matter of threading a needle, and butting the coupler within a few feet of a corner.

Do they have a tractor? My Dad has a trailer ball attachment for his bucket on the front of a Kabota tractor. Works like a charm for moving trailers around.

You might want to try this. A friend of mine mounted a Class IV hitch to the front of his truck (Chevy 2500). He uses it to move his Fountain 10 Meter into some tight winter parking. It makes moving boats around in tight spots pretty easy.

I have a 4x4 Kubota tractor with a front loader with bucket teeth. I use mine to move mine around. I am in Haymarket, where are you located?

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately, a front hitch won't work, but I would not mind having one someday. Once I snag a dually, I am sure I will install one.

I really need a powered device that is tiny for this task.

88Fountain, I am pretty sure we have crossed paths before. You were restoring your boat in a barn right? I bought some property off the side of Bull Run Mountain a couple years ago, and since sold it. I am trying to put the boat in storage in Culpeper at a good friend's place. I am currently in Woodbridge, but moving further south hopefully sooner than later.

Check some local riggers machinery movers.. they use skates that will handle plenty of weight....

you can put them under your tires at whatever angle you need and keep changing the angle until you thread the needle.
