Keep hearing rumors. 700/725/750 ? horsepower with new drive between Bravo XR and #6. To be introduced at Miami Show.As late as today my contacts (who should know,and I trust them) say there is no such package. Are they denying knowledge because Miami is still too far away? Fact or rumor? I figure if anyone can ferret out the real story it will come from OSO members. What about it? I have a customer ready to order a boat with 600's but he heard the rumor too and wants to wait.

If you remember, last year one of the OSO nitwits posted pictures of the new Merc 600sc before it's unveiling in Miami and caused a chitstorm.

I gotta admit...the 850 was a well kept secret until the show opened !!!

There has been rumors of the 'tweener drive ('tween a Bravo and a #6) for as long as I can remember. Haven't seen it yet, and if comes from Merc it will probably be $25K for the drive alone....

I have heard rumors about the new beefed up Alpha Drive that will be called the SUPER ALPHA! Stay tuned for more details!

merc doesnt make a whole lotta sense lately...the SS Outboard Class uses ONLY 2.5's....Merc isnt making anymore...hmmmmmbut you can order them piece by piece and put a motor together
