just curious if anyone has already done the testing and has their conclusions.
current condition is 30' panther running quicksilver 25's on TRS DRIVES, thinned a little bit and extra cupping to get on plane. 70.6 GPS consistent, one tach says 5250 and the other tach says 5100 but they sound in sync. and best day was 72.8 at 5400 and and 5250.
I tried 25" hydro QIV's killed the Rpm's to 4800-5000 at 64 mph, but I was on the river so I don' tconsider it a valid test except the dying rpm's. I have a set of hydro QIV 24" but only ran them in 3 footers so I couldn't compare those.
Just wondering if someone has tried mirage +'s, or bravo 1's, with the trs setup, or should I try a cleaver style. I think I need the extra blade surface area to help get on plane.
Thanks,

At this point we would suggest trying some Mirage Plus propellers. We are assuming straight deep V hull of slightly older vintage? Back then the 3 blade TRS was state of the art. The new technology Mirage series has since taken over. What engine do you have and where do you want to run it?
We have sets of Mirage Plus in 23 and 25 to test should decide to try them.

'86 TRS with merc 425's close to stock, some port work, end exhaust.
I think i want to run around the 5300 max. it seems to run good there, pulls great to about 5000 and then a little tweaking to get the extra 2-300 r's, also thats were the motors peter out.
6800 lbs. dry.
it was faster without the cupping added but I could not get out on plane in 2-3 footers. the person who did my props said all the cupping was washed out. but 1.5 mph loss and able to get on plane and a little better cruise speed I was o.k. with that. I was told that my quicksilvers are the same as standard mirages. what is my slip right now? just curious.

At 5300 average you are running 15-16% slip.
Quicksilvers are real close to the old Mirage. A little rounder.
