Im looking to buy a 500efi long block to replace my stock 7.4 454 MPI 310 HP engine. will my headers and stock parts bolt on to make an engine swap?

i have a 496 just back from machine shop call me 314 265 3876 john needs carb exchust and igntion.

If they are both Gen V or VI all will fit. Most all will fit on a Gen IV as well other than the oil filter adapter, oil pan, timing cover.

The balancer & flywheel are different parts numbers from Gen IV to V or VI.

The programming on the two engines will most likly not be correct. You will need to talk to somone who can change that like Precision Marine. Also, pay attention to the cam.

my engine is 7.4 454 310 HP in a donzi 22 zx stock engine 1999 what generation would it be ?

I have a pair of 2003 fresh water cooled 525efi long blocks with intakes. One has a broken valve (needs rebuild) & one runs good, 200 hrs. Let me know if your interested.
