RV Ownerwhip - pros and cons
#1
Thinking about buying a class A motor home to travel around to different poker runs. Not knowing much about them, wondering if anyone has experience with ownership, whether it is cost effective (i.e. maintenance and fuel costs). Has anybody ever towed their boat with them? (Formula 336 on aluminum trailer). Thanks in advance to any input.

I have a 35' gas rv and to tow a boat behind 30-35' of rv is a tough job, not to say at the ramp would be a real pain in the a%%. I love it for going to races (thanks AMF for a space) or other events. A pusher (rear engine rv) is by far the best way but top of the $ scale. If you are going to do poker runs away from home, put the $$ into a more accommodating boat or just get a room. It's much cheaper and far less stressful. But if you want to become a race groupie get a RV and enjoy the events.

Ive had a couple. My conclusion is that they are great especially if you have kids. Main thing is to have dry inside storage for them or any toy for that matter.

I rented one. It was a 33ft with the chevy kodiak 4500 cab. It had a gas 496, terrible mileage, no power, and felt very unstable. Go for the diesel bus looking one. I dont know about towing that big of a trailer with it.

Also remember there is a 65' lenght limit in a lot of states. i use to tow my 21' boat behind the 34' motorhome and it was fine except for launching but i can't tow the 35' cig

You guys got it all wrong for Ginger!
Buy a Terrawind, the RV that can get wet and forget the boat.

Pretty cool, but for a million dollars I could have a lot of really cool things! Saw it on Discovery channel, seems well built/ engineered.
