Post Profiling with your boat on the trailer ?

I had lunch yesterday with a co worker and were talking about motorcycle rallies etc how some people for instance attend the rally with their bike in tow and are very proud. I told him I think the same is true about boating. Dont most of us feel proud towing our boats vs keeping it in the slip year round. I told him we work hard for our money and I think some of the fun of this is when someone comes up to you in a gas station and starts asking alot of questions regarding the boat how fast , how much, etc
Therefore I think this is very similar to the motorcycle rallies. I would like to hear some thoughts on this. I again think we work hard for our money and whats wrong with showing off our toys while we are trailering them on the interstate. Do some of you have some feeling on this.
Thanks
Jane

I must admit I do feel like a pimp when I have the boat in tow.
Plus it looks bigger !!!
I just thought of something, I need a smaller
truck then it will look even bigger !
I use the same theory in dating, I always date women with small hands

Yes I enjoy pulling the boat. You get a lot of interesting looks. I've pulled into truck stops and had truck drivers come up to me and say that they heard "I was headed this direction".

I get a lot of people waving and stuff when I pull the boat somewhere. Of course my wife says it's because I just lost another wheel bearing, but I think it's cuse it looks cool.

Thumbs up

Boat Parades are great too. How all the kids get excited seeing a line of boats coming down the street.

I know what you mean, folks!
It's a great feeling and it should make you proud. People do take interest. Most of the time they have nice things to say, but I've had not so nice things said, too. Like "Look, there's another little rich white kid." or "Hope you enjoy it, azzhole!"

Of course, those are in the areas you shouldn't be trailering through anyway.

I tow my boat only because i have too. I would much rather have it on a lift at the water ready to go!
