Default gimbal bearings

Which way should these bearings go into the transom?Cut out towards motors or drives?And the books shows to super glue the tolerance ring to the bearing,is that right?

Merc puts them in w/ notches towards inside of boat.Either way is fine unless you see a red dot on bearing carrier, then it faces out towards drive.

The ones that came out had red dots,these do not.So the notches go towards the motor?

Gots to get the ones w/ red dots,or else you'll put some hurt on your drive/gimbal.

you need to line up the crush ring and the oil holes.....

heres the break down of the gimbel ring the fiber washers are#3
