I'm in a project with a 47 need advice triple 525 gear ratio 1.5 want to use bravo 1 prop 4 blade anyone's that want to share some information and experience fountain didn't answer my mail

I would call a rigger or possibly Installer Marine, Bob. Someone who has set-up the 47's. As far as props go Hydro or Hering props would be great on the boat. I would run 5B or 6B props on her.

My buddies 04 has 525s and ITS Bravos spinning Herring 6 blades I think they are 30 pitch. Boat runs right at 90 with moderate load.

We have done numerous with Bravo 1 props and with Maximus 5 blades, also Herings.
What exactly are you asking? X dimension, pitch?

Thanks for your replies i have been away some days now.I need to now x dimension for good all round performance and cruising speed and also recommended propellers and pitch

For all around performance and good cruising, you can stay with the standard bravo drive cutouts. Fountain is pretty aggressive with their X dimensions anyway. You don't necessarily want shorty cases on this boat.
Using a set of Bravo 1 propellers in 28 or 30 inches of pitch will give you a good baseline and tell us which direction to go next. I think you will like those props but may opt to go to some 5 blades for better cruising speeds.

Northpole, the x-dimension for your hull should be 17.25x19x17.25 . It looks like this gave the best results for your hull. Call if I can answer any other questions, 252-975-7048 (Chris). I'll be glad to research any questions that you have.

It's always better to mount your drives a little too high than a little too low. Spacers, if required, are a lot cheaper than shorter lower units.
