Eliminator at the Daytona International Speedway

Recently, Eliminator named, "The Official High Performance Boat of The Daytona International Speedway."
I promise to post frequent updates of Eliminator's involvement with the Datyona 500 and Daytona International Speedway.

Wait a second.........Didn't the Speedway sue Eliminator a few years back for naming one of their models Daytona? This is certainly a change. Guess they decided to stop fighting?

Not sure about Eliminator, but they did sue Donzi.
A Sarasota, FL company that put the name "Daytona" on some of its racing boats and decorated them with checkered flags is facing a court fight with International Speedway Corp. The motorsports giant contends in a federal lawsuit it has exclusive trademark rights to the word "Daytona" for any product or event that involves racing or speed, including boats. It wants the Donzi Marine boat company to stop using the Daytona name and pay it three times any profit that's been made on the Daytona boats since introducing them in 1998. The high-performance speedboats, built in Sarasota, cost between $250,000 and $500,000 each.(Daytona Beach News Journal)(9-28-2002)
