Default 300 - 320 hp offerings

I know the 7.4mpi is not current, but now we have a 350mag and a 6.2 from merc that fall into this hp range that was familiar territory for so long to the 454 workhorse.

What are pros and cons with each of these, especially the current offerings.

You can get that much HP out of a small block but it won't have the same torque AND you got to spin the hell out of it as compared to a big block. WHich to me would lessen longevity
